Frequently Asked Questions

What is Microblading?

Microblading also known as hair stroke brows or feather brows  is a form of semi-permanent make up that is carried out by a qualified technician using a specialist hand-tool which deposits ink into the epidermis of the skin using a  disposable microblades.

I have oily skin what will work best for me?

With oily skin we would recommend that you book either the Blade & Shade (Combination Brow) or the Ombre Brow because Oily Skin breaks down the ink you will not get the best results with just microblading.

Can I get a patch test?

For any clients that require a patch test for semi-permanent make up you will need to pop in to the store at least 48hrs before your appointment to get one done. If you are an international client or live too far to come in please email us with your address and we can send one over to you.

How does it work?

The required pigment is deposited into the superficial dermis of the skin with the disposable microblade which allows the technician to create bespoke, crisp hair strokes which look like natural eyebrow hair. There are different techniques our signature Blade and shade is created using a disposable blade is better suited to those with oily skin.

How does it differ from semi-permanent tattooing?

Microblading differs from conventional semi-permanent tattooing by the very fact that it is a manual procedure. When using a hand held micro blade, the colour is deposited closer to the surface than when a machine is used leaving very fine and crisp hair strokes with no spilling under the skin.

Who can have Microblading?

With all semi-permanent makeup procedures it is the practitioner’s responsibility to make sure that there are no contraindications to treatment. If there is a medical condition the clinic doctor will be consulted prior to treatment. REMEMBER: We have your best interests in mind.

How long does the pigmentation last?

Microblading tends to last between 12-18 months and after this period of time may need a colour boost or refresh. Blade and Shade can last 18-36 months and sombre brow because the ink is deposited by a machine can last 24 to 36 months.

Does it hurt?

Like all semi-permanent procedures microblading will require a topical anaesthetic which can be topped up throughout the procedure making it relatively painless.

How much does it cost?

Microblading starts from £250 for a new brow; this price includes a consultation and a top up. On the day you will have a consultation we will do a patch test prior if required a brow shape and tidy you will then return for a top up procedure and refresh colour boost if needed after 6 weeks.

Before having your microblade procedure carried out please be advised of the following

Your technician will carry out a Symmetry Assessment. Asymmetry is dynamic: a result of a difference in the tone of the forehead muscles and sun exposure of the skin. Microblading will not correct dynamic asymmetries. Please be advised that eyebrow technicians are NOT cosmetic surgeons. The realistic goal is not to create perfect symmetry, but to make a moderate improvement to enhance the facial characteristics which are already present. The technician has to follow your natural eyebrow contour.

Remember – no two eyebrows are ever truly identical!

What happens After the procedure?

After the procedure make up cannot be worn on the brows for 10 days but elsewhere is fine. Please ensure that you keep the treated area dry to reduce the risk of complications or infection and retain the maximum pigment. Please refer to the Aftercare leaflet provided.

Does a Top Up include a free Top Up if I need one?

No a top up is one session if you need a further session you will need to pay accordingly.
